We understand that every dog is an individual with their own unique needs. One aspect of dogs that is indistinguishable is the way they learn, which is universal with animals of all species. This means that every dog, regardless of temperament, breed, or age, has the capability for behavior change. This is why our Day Training and Board and Train programs are fully customizable to address specific challenges and goals. From lunging on-leash at Memorial Park to potty training in a downtown high-rise, we want you and your dog to live a life that works for the both of you, together. We are here to help the modern-day dog owners of Houston navigate life with their urban dwelling companions. We believe that dog ownership is a lifestyle, and we can show you just how fulfilling it is.
Dear RDT Family,
It has come time for us to announce our next venture. We have a 3rd branch in the works, which will be located in one of the most exciting cities in the world… New York City, here we come!
We are acquiring the very popular and nationally recognized School For The Dogs' Manhattan location, which closed in January. We plan to honor the SFTD legacy through our own programs and brand, and continue to serve dogs and their people in the East Village community, just as they did for many years. We are thankful to have the help of SFTD owner, Annie Grossman, to help us during our transition. (Annie also happens to be the author of the new book, How To Train Your Dog With Love + Science, an excellent new read that we've been recommending to our clients.)
We look forward to the opportunities that Manhattan will bring us. This next step is a move towards our end goal and the bigger picture; a solution to a greater problem. Our mission is to help pups in urban communities live a peaceful, gratifying, and sustainable life with the people who love them. What greater place to do that than NYC?
Our West University and The Heights locations will serve as our flagship sites, as we will always continue to refine and perfect the work that we do at our home base here in Houston. None of this would be possible without the incredibly loyal and supportive clientele of RDT, or the glue that holds it all together every day, our wonderfully talented and brilliant team. Thank you to all. Your support truly means the world.
We will be opening our NYC location on May 12th of this year which will be located at 92 E 7th St, New York, NY 10009.
We are excited for another year of growth and purpose as such a strong team. Our 13 full-time trainers have committed their livelihoods to aiding the connection between people and dogs. We are grateful for the ongoing support and encouragement from our amazing clients.
